Do I need previous snowshoeing experience?
No. Snowshoeing is easy to learn, and beginners are welcome. Your guide will provide a brief introduction before you hit the trail.
Do you offer snowshoe rentals and self-guided tours?
Yes! We offer snowshoe rentals and self-guided adventures for guests who prefer to explore Park City on their own. We provide the equipment and can recommend trails based on current conditions and your experience level.
How difficult are your snowshoe tours?
We offer routes ranging from easy to challenging. Your guide will select a route based on your group’s experience, fitness level and interests.
How long are your snowshoe tours?
Our standard guided snowshoe tours are approximately 2 hours on the snow. Longer or customized experiences are also available.
Where do you go snowshoeing in Park City?
We use several scenic locations around Park City, including areas near Deer Valley and other mountain trails. The exact location depends on snow conditions, weather and your group’s experience.
Do you provide snowshoes and poles?
Yes. Snowshoes and poles are included with our guided tours. Rental equipment is available for self-guided adventures.
What should I wear?
Wear warm layers and waterproof or insulated boots. We recommend warm socks, gloves, a hat, sunglasses or goggles, and sunscreen. Your guide will provide additional recommendations based on the day’s conditions.
Can children go snowshoeing?
Yes! Snowshoeing is a great family activity. Our regular tours are generally suitable for children age 6 and older, and we offer special snowy experiences for younger children depending on conditions.
Do you offer private snowshoe tours?
Yes. Private tours allow us to customize the pace and route around your group’s interests and abilities.
Can we go snowshoeing at sunset or at night?
Yes. Sunset and evening snowshoe experiences are available when conditions and scheduling allow.
Can you pick us up at our hotel?
Yes. We offer pickup from many Park City-area hotels and vacation rentals. Guests staying outside Park City can meet us at our central location near Canyons Village.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Snow doesn’t necessarily mean a tour will be canceled. We monitor conditions and choose trails appropriate for the weather. During windy conditions, we can often use more protected forest areas. If conditions become unsafe, we’ll work with you to reschedule or find an alternative.
What happens if there isn’t enough snow?
Snow conditions vary throughout the winter. We monitor conditions and select locations with the best available snow. If conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll work with you on the best alternative or rescheduling options.
When is snowshoe season in Park City?
Snowshoeing typically runs from late November through early April, depending on snowfall and trail conditions.
