COVID-19 Policies and Procedures for Exclusive Excursions LLC

Since we opened our doors exactly 10 years ago, we have always made sure our guests' safety is the number one priority. With the COVID-19 pandemic upon us, we have updated all of our policies, procedures, and training to make sure we maintain those high safety standards during this unfortunate and hopefully short time. Please see a list of general company procedures followed by specific procedures as they are related to each kind of excursion that we offer.

We thank you again for your consideration in booking an excursion with us during this difficult time.  We hope this will all be over sooner than later but we feel that enjoying the outdoors is a great way to stay safe and release some stress!

General Company Procedures

Company vehicles (seats, seatbelts, door handles, controls, etc.), boats, bikes, and all gear are cleaned and sanitized before and after anytime a client utilizes them. If at any time, a client wants to re-sanitize anything, they are always welcomed and never judged.

Guides and drivers will get checked by a manager to make sure they do not have fever or show zero covid-19 symptoms before any shifts.

Guides and drivers will wear masks and have hand sanitizer on their person and will have access to masks and other disinfectants for the guests.

Guides and guests will follow all social distancing practices with others in the same area and with each other when possible.

We also ask if our guests are feeling sick that they do not partake in our excursions so we can keep everybody safe.  We do have a 24 hour cancellation policy so if you are feeling sick the day before, please call us and we can cancel your excursion with no penalty.

Gratuities are always appreciated but are at the guest’s discretion. If you would like to leave a tip for your guide/driver; instead of giving cash, we can add the gratuity to the total bill charged to your credit card on file.  We can either add a standard 18% gratuity when you sign up for an excursion OR we can have a manager reach out after the tour so you can discuss a gratuity amount with them for your guide/driver. We will ask you what option you prefer when you first book with us. We want to make this an easy and safe process for everybody.

Float Excursions

All clients will have a private raft on our float trips. If you have to share the shuttle van for the 5 minute drive back up the river after the float, clients will get their own row and masks will be provided if they don’t have their own.

We recommend that clients try our two person inflatable kayaks if they want to be isolated from others throughout the float.  They are easy to maneuver and the kayak guide will be there the entire time.

If you have your own car, we recommend that you meet us at the river.  If you do not have your own car, we can definitely pick you up in Park City in a van that has been sanitized after each use.  We recommend bringing your own mask but we can provide them if needs be.

We normally have dry bags that we offer for cell phones, keys etc. but we recommend that you keep all items in your own car and we can hold onto your keys in our shuttle van; which will be waiting for you at the bottom of the river.  Our guides will be happy to take pictures of you with their own cell phones and they will send them to you for free after the trip.

Life jackets are required and we will have them sanitized after each use.  The boats will also be sanitized after each use along with kayak paddles and our long range water guns.  We understand that sanitation is taken very seriously and guests have different levels of comfort so if a guest would like to “re-sanitize” any of our sanitized gear themselves, we will be happy to give you a few sanitizer wipes to do such. 

While on the river, we will make sure we keep distance from other floaters or fisherman on the shores. At the end of the trip, we will load in a clean and sanitized van and do a quick 5 minute drive back to your car.  Hand sanitizer and wipes will be available.  Drivers will be wearing masks and we will have masks for clients if they do not have their own.

Hiking Excursions

If you have your own car, we recommend that we meet you at the trailheads.  We will give you a GPS location to plug into your phone and our guide will be in direct contact.  If you don’t have your own car or prefer us to pick you up, we can do so as well.  Our vehicle will be sanitized before and after each use and we will have sanitizer, wipes and masks provided.  We encourage clients to bring their own masks to reduce waste and to save protective equipment.

We also encourage clients to bring their own water and snacks but we will have bottled waters and granola bars available as well. We can give you a disinfectant wipe beforehand if desired.

Biking Excursions

If you have your own car, we recommend that we meet you at the trailheads.  We will give you a GPS location to plug into your phone and our guide will be in direct contact.  If you don’t have your own car or prefer us to pick you up, we can do so as well.  Our vehicle will be sanitized before and after each use and we will have sanitizer, wipes and masks provided.  We encourage clients to bring their own masks to reduce waste and to save protective equipment.

We will sanitize all parts of the bikes that are regularly touched by clients.  Helmets are disinfected before and after use even if a client just quickly tries it on and it’s the wrong size. If clients want to bring their own helmets, that is welcomed as well.

We also encourage clients to bring their own water and snacks but we will have bottled waters and granola bars available as well. We can give you a disinfectant wipe beforehand if desired.

Snowshoe Excursions

If you have your own car, we recommend that we meet you at the trailheads.  We will give you a GPS location to plug into your phone and our guide will be in direct contact.  If you don’t have your own car or prefer us to pick you up, we can do so as well.  Our vehicle will be sanitized before and after each use and we will have sanitizer, wipes and masks provided.  We encourage clients to bring their own masks to reduce waste and to save protective equipment. 
Our snowshoes, poles and overshoes will be cleaned and sanitized before and after each use. If at any time, you would like to re-sanitize any equipment, we will be not offended and provide the sanitizer.
